During the 70’s and 80’s this small Cook Islands territory (Aitutaki) issued stamps under its own administration that were a hit with stamp collectors across the Globe. This set of 1976 Aitutaki American Bicentennial Stamp Strips are perfect examples of such beautiful Worldwide Collectible Stamps with United States themes.
This special set contains 3 strips of 3 stamps each in denominations of 30 cents, 35 cents, and 50 cents respectively. Each depicts a famous John Trumbull painting in honor of American Independence. The set includes the following Aitutaki stamps, issued on our Nation’s 200th Anniversary:
